Women Who Reimagined Our World

In honor of Women’s History Month, we are highlighting women who reimagined the world and dramatically impacted the realm of communications. These women did not wait for permission. They fixed what was broken. They built what was missing.

A Note from Our Senior Graphic Designer, Julia Vasenina

Some projects stay with you long after you close the file. Working on this Women’s History Month series meant diving into the systems behind communication, the structures that quietly shape how we understand, connect, and act.

I love when a project genuinely resonates, the kind that makes you pause, reflect, and recommit. Putting this carousel together was one of those moments for me. As I researched these stories, one pattern kept emerging: they saw a gap in technology, science, or strategy and filled it with precision and purpose. That kind of clarity is genuinely inspiring.

Cate Urban

I founded Urban Web Renovations after 11 years of leading global marketing strategies for nonprofit organizations in Washington, DC. In each position I held, one thing remained the same – my passion for managing web sites and social media accounts for both organizations and major thought leaders.
